Everyone loves free stuff, especially when it's top-of-the-line and doesn't smell like cat pee. Fortunately, "Free Shit," the latest joint from Norway's Ivan Ave, is fresher than some Downy fabric softener and well worth the "price" of admission.
So yeah, maybe "Free Shit" isn't technically a freebie — it's a non-downloadable single off his upcoming Helping Hands LP — but listening to Ivan FREEly spill some ill stream-of-consciousness bars over Mndsgn's feel-good production elicits a feeling that transcends credit card numbers and sweaty dollar bills. This joint is straight MONEY.

From the get-go, Ivan's presence on the mic immediately jumps out on "Free shit." He nonchalantly improvises some la's and da's over sweet-sounding keys and then unleashes a relentless lyrical onslaught that requires multiple playbacks. There's also a line about visualizing lunch trays as hoverboards. (I'm just gonna leave this here…).
All in all, "Free Shit" is a bright, sunshiny track that has the Milkysphere in a frenzy waiting for Helping Hands to hit the net. Be on watch for Ivan Ave and Mndsgn's collaborative project, which drops via Jakarta Records on February 12th!
