Now less than two weeks away from Ra Ra Riot’s fourth studio album, we need a little something to subdue the craving for new material. French duo Dim Sum has just the remix to distract our ears as we get closer to Need Your Light. These two have been on a streak of solid remixes over the past couple of months, most notably their remix for Christine and The Queens. Their twinkling and dreamy style of production always comes through to complement the original, but it's still distinctly Dim Sum.
Ra Ra Riot’s “Absolutely” is wonderful in its album form, but even more delicious after Dim Sum has their way with it. Pulsating synths, and the anthemic sing-a-long chorus mix perfectly with the cutesy and infectious melodies. Throw in some summery good vibes complete with tropical percussion, and then garnish with fruit and a tropical flower. Surely the uplifting feeling will make it a breeze to reach Need Your Light and its February 19th release date.
