Dot Demo AKA Derek Ward has released a new music video for his single “Blak Gesus.” A Bronx native, this one is full of religious imagery and the majority of the video is shot in a church and as Ward walks the streets where he grew up. Streets full of preachers, gangs and teenagers wandering aimlessly and at 22 it seems that Dot Demo has already seen a lot.
He counts Erykah Badu, A Tribe Called Quest, Wu Tang Clan, Jay-Z, Nas, Boot Camp Clik, Camp Lo and Big Pun amongst his influences and it's clear from his single that he also counts influences from above. He's set lofty goals for himself and obviously draws comparisons to all of the artists who inspire him.
