The Desert Hearts crew just completed their tour of the City Hearts party, making stops in San Diego, Denver, San Francisco and more with residents like Mikey Lion, Lee Reynolds and Deep Jesus. To cap off the tour before their yearly Burning Man trip (they've played at least 4 events this week) they joined forces in Toronto last weekend with Summerdaze, a concert series known around the city for their innovative events, and even added a special headliner, Nice7, to the day/night event. Hammocks, a massage table and a juice bar were just some of the interesting additions that made the night something to remember.

Not often do the words "party of the year" or "party of the summer" get tossed around, but when you know, you know. Everyone we encountered over the evening seemed to be surprised at how incredible the vibe was, but we came in expecting nothing but the best from the renowned marathon parties. Running from early afternoon into the late hours of the morning at an amazing indoor/outdoor warehouse venue in Toronto’s lower east side (it’s not really called that), the City Hearts Summerdaze season closer was the party we were all waiting for. Kicking things off for the outdoor day party was the Summerdaze family with names like Alberto Jossue, Members Only, Dirty Dale, Nature of Music & Tyrone Solomun providing some daytime house before the party shifted indoors for a night time affair.

Known for their unique tech vibes the Desert Hearts tribe of Mikey Lion, Lee Reynolds, Marbs, Porkchop, and Deep Jesus blessed Toronto with a pre-Burning Man experience the city hasn't seen before and Nice7 (Defected, Noir, Suara) perfected the headline slot. The overall atmosphere of the party was unlike anything we usually get to experience here, and with the recent announcement of the Desert Hearts 3 year Anniversary Festival in SoCal coming up November 5th-9th, loyal fans can make the journey for 100 hours of non-stop House, Techno, & Love. More info on the festival on the Desert Hearts website.
