Today the Philly-based indie-rock band Up The Chain released their latest EP, Windows Into Worlds. This EP is fully of southern twang, blues melodies that resound with a gritty shimmer, and smokey vocals that will have you reminiscing to summer nights in sweaty clubs, beer in hand, writhing about to your favorite rock band or some new up-and-comers. Up The Chain is a three-piece collective of some a-level Philly musicians, and is the culmination of front man Reed Kendall, who assembled the group. This is their first EP to release as a trio and it is strong and compelling mixture of Ryan Adams, Butch Walker, and the indie touch of Beck. In conjunction with the EP’s release, EARMILK has teamed with Up The Chain to offer an exclusive stream of the album. For the band, this EP is a new start. Reed comments on the EP’s inception saying, “Windows Into Worlds" represents a fresh start. Not only is a lot of the lyrical imagery about new beginnings, but this is our first release as a solidified trio. In almost all ways it feels like this band is only starting now. “Take a listen below and be sure to give this bustling trio a follow on their social accounts, they are making big waves and you don’t want to miss out on their next splash.
