Welsh/French quintet Shake Shake Go is a beautifully crafted blend of a indie structures paired harmoniously with delicately molded folk melodies. Lead singer Poppy’s voice has the grit and the breadth of Kate Nash and the delicate frail touch of British powerhouse Adele’s earlier work. The group's name came from a very serendipitous and fitting moment when they were performing on the streets of London and asked for suggestions from the audience. A young boy enthusiastically exclaimed “Shake Shake Go!” and in those three words the 6-year-old was able to personify everything the band represented.
Their forthcoming debut EP England Skies is a glimmering mixture of eloquently crafted lyrics exuding personal reflection, vibrant uplifting melodies and a robust spirit of love and light. The title track sharing the same name as the EP has received well over 3 million plays since it was released last month and the rest of the EP holds the same exceptional quality as the lead single. In addition to the debut EP's release Shake Shake go commissioned several artists to remix the title track. If indie folk isn't quite your jam your dancing feet certainly won't be opposed to this upbeat fluttering future bass remix of the single from Parisian producer Epic Empire.
