Within seconds of listening to the WTNSS remix of "Veins" by Swedish songstress Rebecca Bergcrantz (also known as RAINDEAR), all that I could think was "This is gorgeous." She specializes in that lush electro-pop sound that is on trend, but with major differences in the composition. Maybe it's in her soft wailing vocals that are rawer, lower pitched and less synthesized than standards in the genre.
It's fascinating to describe her throaty vocals as "raw" since her entire image and everything that she creates seems to be straight out of a dark fairy tale. The WTNSS remix does the original justice and you can almost see Bergcrantz slip through the shadowy trees as she sings about dark worlds.
