In 2014, Bixel Boys epitomized the meaning of “killing it.” Now, they’re literally everywhere. They’re playing at the best clubs and best festivals (check them out at Coachella this year). They’re supported by the likes of Diplo and Skrillex, and certainly trending on Hype Machine. They also have some of the best merch in the business, with slick #FREELIFE jerseys that sold through the roof. Rob and Ian, the young and bright LA duo, aren’t going anywhere…but up.
Their latest release takes Le Youth’s shimmery house melody “R E A L” and ups the ante, from sipping mimosas poolside at 4pm to getting lost in a sea of sweaty clubbers at 4am.
I can’t get enough of these off-kilter punches of bass. After the first drop, I had to do a pause…rewind…Despite getting whiplash from a minor car accident, I can't get myself to stop moving to this beat.
