Let's face it: sometimes 48 hours simply isn't enough time to get down and get away from the world. Even if you're partying it up in post secondary, the endless amount of quizzes, assignments and projects do a great job of killing your vibe. But who says that the fun times need to end? If you're feeling like you need one more round while the rest of the work slips back into that monotonous 9-5, give the latest from LoVel a spin.
"College," the first release of 2015 from the Harlem based artist, is bound to get you moving with its juicy blend of bass and crisp hi-hats. The track isn't your electro blaring, 22 Jump Street-esque type of party, but is the chilled out type that can cap off a party in a proper manner. Also worth noting is the guest verse from the always amazing Nitty Scott, MC; it's a fantastic pairing as her bars blend beautifully with LoVel's flow. R&B releases have been sparse as of late, but let's hope that LoVel's upcoming album Somewhere Someday satisfies our need for stripped down beats and sultry sounds.
