Charli XCX is dominating pop and she won't stop "Doing It"

Charli XCX slayed in 2014, releasing one of the best pop albums of the year and dominating radio with hit singles "Boom Clap" and "Break the Rules."  Her reign continues as she releases Sucker's best pop-punk confection, "Doing It" as her new single in the UK.  She's joined on the track by London-based popstar Rita Ora, who takes on the second verse with her usual flair.  The song, which is about, you guessed it, having sex, differentiates the women from their fellow popstar Taylor Swift, whose music is far too prude to go there.  In fact, a song to song comparison of Charli XCX and Taylor Swift's album would show that Charli is ostensibly the "anti-Taylor Swift," singing (and shouting) about sex, drugs, breaking rules and telling exes to fuck off.

"Doing It" is what all pop songs should sound like; it's a fun, jaunty ditty that blends synth-pop with rock to propose sex.  It's impossible to resist Charli singing on the chorus "We're staying all night, we never slow down, I think we better do it like we're doing it now." On "Doing It," she proves she can write insanely catchy pop songs that are enough outside the box to attract non-pop listeners.  Check it out for yourself below before it blows up and gets overplayed a la "Fancy."
