If you've seen LARCY popping off on all the the music blogs and for some strange reason have yet to check her out, know that she's a hard act to follow. I usually don't have a lot to say about singer-songwriters who dabble in EDM cause they're universally fantastic at what they do, but LARCY has the X factor that sets her far from the pack. After quitting her job at the New York Times nearly a year ago, the East Coast charmer threw caution to the wind in order to pursue her dreams of working in the music industry. Her latest track, "Running Home" is proof that her decision was not for nothing.

Over some subdued production from Gazzo, LARCY effortlessly glides over a cool and luscious beat. Whereas some of her previous tracks–the smash hit "Best Friend" or her collaboration with Moiez on "Illusions,"–had a heavy emphasis on partying, "Running Home" shows another side of her sound that's worth mentioning. Lookout for LARCY in the new year; I think it's safe to say that she could very well be the songbird of our generation.
