Last month the So-Cal rock group Night Riots finished their US tour in which they made their first NYC appearance. It was during the CMJ Music Marathon that we discovered Night Riots. Their performance that week at the Knitting Factory made us realize they are an electric group that without doubt will surely flourish in the near future. Their sound is reminiscent of The Chain Gang of 1974, Hunter Hunted and The Killers all the while resonating a tone that is strictly their own.

Following the success of their Young Lore EP, the band has begun releasing material off their forthcoming album set for release in early 2015. One of their more recent debut singles is “Oh My Heart.” The release is an up-beat and electric ballad filled with gritty percussion, noisy and invigorating melodies filled with the compelling vocals Travis exudes. Their video is a super-sonic vignette into the future tinged with neon and emotion. Keep your finger on the pulse of Night Riots as they propel with ferocity into 2015.
