We get sent a lot of submissions here at EARMILK, and sifting through the hundreds of emails is a massive part of our job here as writers and curators. Today we got one that we may have missed on our first run, but definitely deserves more attention than it has gotten so far.
Billion Dollars is a young producer from Mexico that has been gaining support from places like NestHQ and Mad Decent, and now from us with his new EP, Satan Bass. The music is rooted in the tropical influenced electronic world, and I'd describe Billion Dollars as Buraka Som Sistema without vocals, dipped in some drum n bass, and playing in the pits of hell in a post-dubstep world. It's dark, scary, and not for listening to while studying or trying to mellow out, but definitely something that would be playing in a sweaty, dark rave. Fans of Bro Safari or Nadastrom might definitely want to check this one out.
