The word "disco" has developed a new meaning in recent history. Now mostly referring to dance music that has a deeper, more underground feel, the sound that was once called "nu disco" has since dropped the prefix. The original meaning of the musical genre, though, can be found in Brazillian house producer Sugar Hill's latest collaboration with Wasabi. The Erase Records regulars have done serious work on a track entitled "It's On You," out this week via an imprint that consistently brings lighthearted groove back to the spotlight in dance music. Sampling a chart-topping hit from disco OGs, Double Exposure, the vocal from the original 1976 track "Everyman" fits perfectly among some deeper bass from today's trends, and is infectious to a point that many records that only seek to be "deep" can't achieve. Check it out below.
