Father is a rapper, producer, and the head of the up and coming Atlanta collective Awful Records, which have recently gotten major spotlight due to their close affiliation with fellow ATLien ILoveMakkonen. Father recently released his Young Hot Ebony album, which contains his now viral hit "Look At Wrist," that originally featured ILoveMakkonen and fellow local Key!.
The single has also seemed to have gotten the attention of Chi-town vets The Cool Kids, as they have given the record the proper remix treatment. This pairing is not all that surprising, as Father's production aesthetic sounds reminiscent to Chuck Inglish's trademark minimalist instrumentals, which feature simple basslines and synths on top of sparse drum loops and odd sample choices. This beat in particular sounds like something that could have come out of The Cool Kid's discography back in 2008, and Sir Michael Rocks & Chuck Inglish both treat it as as so, adding their own signature flair to the mix.
