Odesza's latest album, In Return, has been making tsunami-sized waves as of late, and the Zyra-featuring track "Say My Name" is the song leading the charge. A recent remix contest has caused everybody and their mother to try their hand at reworking the track, and now the masked wonder himself, Slow Magic, has turned in one of the best.
This remix is so successful because Slow Magic completely makes it his own. Most of Zyra's lyrics are gone, and the verse-chorus structure gets chucked out the window. Starting with some quiet piano, the song eventually boils over, with his trademark synth and some very Cashmere Cat-esque sequences leading the song through a myriad of constantly-morphing sections. There's even a guitar solo by Slow Magic's dad.
Odesza and Slow Magic both have incredible brand new albums. This remix combines the two talents and does not disappoint.
