Crystal Fighter's vocalist debuts solo project with new single "One"

As Crystal Fighters heads into the studio to work on their next album, their vocalist Ellie Fletcher has begun to pursue her side-solo project at full speed. She has released her first debut single as "One" under her new alias Kyiki. The song breathes dark pop into her beautiful harmonies, it showcases Fletcher's vocal range, and eases the listener into a vulnerable emotional state. We've previously seen Fletcher work as Kyiki in collaboration with Moon Boots on the track "Don't Ask Why", which is equally delicious, among a handful of other small projects. But I'm predicting that "One" will catapult Fletcher's solo project into the rankings among the other female greats.

The songwriting, vocals, and productions are all transcendent to make for an overall excellent track. I don't think that it hurts to have the experience of working and touring extensively with Crystal Fighters for the past four years. Rumor has it that we can expect an album out from Kyiki in the next year or so, so keep your ear to the ground for a release date, but until then, give the track a listen below.
