TGIF. I'm so glad I get to finally spend my morning on some new music. And to make it that much better, jazz influenced music. I'm so extremely excited to bring you a new single from Faith Harding, AKA Novelty Daughter.
"Impatiens" is a vocal heavy, beat break, jazz influenced tune with a ton of open interpretation. Fresh off of a collaboration with label-mate, and one of my past write ups, A Sol Mechanic on his recent "just pick me up" EP, this new offering from Novelty Daughter shows off her growth as a producer and her ability to lyrically turn herself inside-out. I love working with her label Stereocure as they are always giving me new reasons to think differently about music. It may seem that genres stay within their realm, but not with these guys/gals.
For my NYC pals, Harding recently moved to Brooklyn where she is writing and recording her first full length, physical LP (slated for release on Stereocure in Spring 2015) and playing a consistent stream of live shows. Take a listen to "Impatiens" now, and get ready for new styles to hit the game– running.
