I'm a huge Boondocks fan, so the opening was already enough to grab my attention. Phlo Deli's been a lyrical rapper that I've had my eye out on for quite some time, and he's finally got a track out there after being quiet for a minute.
Phlo Deli preaches to his listeners that we should all B.Y.O.U. and it's amazing how perfectly he goes over a Kaytranada and Mr. Carmack beat. With such smooth production, Deli has upped his lyricism just as much, and its amazing how much he's grown over the course of a year. While I don't think this was an official collab, hopefully something does happen between the three of them at some point. Either way, he's definitely an artist that people should be keeping an eye out on.
People say that lyrical, intelligent rap is dying out, but with guys like him around, it's hard to believe that at all. Check out the track below. It's a free download, and I guarantee that he's got a sick flow worth hearing.
