It's not often that we run into classically trained sound engineers who make disco music, but that's what we've come across today with Italian house producer KICKo's latest EP. Out via Les Bons Vivants Records, All Night All Right is an EP that easily differentiates itself ahead of the pack with KICKo's clear thorough understanding of composition. When trends permeate the market, even if it's in your own music, sometimes the best course is to do what you know, just as KICKo has done on this EP. Using his background training and influences from growing up in both the 1980s and 1990s decades, all four tracks on All Night All Right stand on their own. From the chunky groove of the piano-driven title track to the techy prog on "The Orgian," this EP is a great introduction to KICKo as an artist, and we look forward to seeing more.
