RL Grime, a side project that Henry Steinway came up with as an outlet for new music he was interested in experimenting with, an escape from his marque alias of Clockwork to push bass music to new extremes, Grime has surpassed Henry's wildest dreams and has given birth to an entire dance movement. From the monumental remix of "Mercy" to his latest collaboration "Tell Me" with What so Not, this project has become something to be marveled over by Dj's and producers around the world. The WEDIDIT poster boy recently announced a debut album set to come out on the collective later this year, Grime also teased us with a sample of his single "Core" he would release in anticipation of the album. Today we are beyond blessed, as "Core" was posted with it's official music video to the RL Grime Facebook just a mere two hours ago…
"Core" demonstrates a lot of the roots we all heard on the High Beams EP but he found a way to take his sound to an entirely new level with this new single. As the tune opens heavy with a magical array of bells and sirens, then out of nowhere instantly throws you into a mayhem of pure bass bliss. Grimes has made his point that this album will easily be one of the biggest bass projects of 2014 and is sure to hold some insane content. Accompanied by a pretty dope music video directed by David Rudnick & Daniel Swan, staying true to the WEDIDIT theme, the music video takes flight with attack helicopters in perfect harmony in tune with the grit of the future bass track.
In the end, I'm sure this bass anthem will be help finish out the summer strong and become the "Core" of many sets across the world. Head over to iTunes now and grab your copy of this massive single.
