Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr. has never been one of convention, and this time they've picked Asher Roth's "Tangerine Girl" to remix. What results is an eclectic sound of mellow indie that brings out Roth's talent and style in a completely different way that Roth's previous quite did. It's dramatic and mellow at the same time, bringing out emotions and highlighting Roth's intonations, but without using any super big highs and lows, ending in a song that could be playing at the next festival while the crowd rocks back and forth.
Josh Epstein of Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr. explains why they chose this particular song saying, "We heard that "sweet tangerine girl" refrain and just felt like it could be the centerpiece in a chilled out slow jam. The original was incredible and full of melody and inspiration. He's a talented dude, and it's cool to be able to make things together via the internet.”
Make sure to check out the song below, as well as Roth's tour dates, which will include Chuck Inglish for the first leg of show.
