Earl Sweatshirt's output has been in full swing this year, as he has contributed to a number of high-profile hip-hop releases with notable verses and distinctive instrumentals. Now he has decided to release an ambient remix of "Chum" courtesy of Odd Future's Left Brain.
The track is reminiscent of OF's earlier material, with a focus on off kilter drums and airy chord progressions. The new instrumental manages to give the Earl's introspective lyrics a more spaced out sound, elaborating on the sense of alienation found in the original.
