Goste adds atypical blues rasp to experimental electronic music on "Serotonal"

Unique Brooklyn-based producer Goste released his new single “Serotonal” via Soundcloud yesterday on the helm of a European tour stretcfhing from April 5th-23rd through dates in Poland and the Czech Republic. Goste is one of those rare producers in experimental electronic music that adds his own vocals to tracks instead of samples, described in his own words as “using atypical sounds in a somewhat traditional sound structure.” His vocal style is different from what we usually hear in electronic music: instead of smooth, floaty or soulful it is raspy and more in a traditional rock or blues style, getting right down to the grit of his musical experiment. Combined with interesting lyrics, well-spaced distinctive synths, samples and bass riffs by Josh Hari (who recently played with jazz legend Herbie Hancock at the Norton Lectures at Harvard University) we think that the first track of his Deleted Scenes EP available for download on Bandcamp soon would seamlessly transfer into an offbeat performance or art space where people come to really listen almost anywhere.
