Chox-Mak is back with a new video for his funky Bunty Beats-produced track “Patience”. We listened to the track on EARMILK a while back and the new visuals give us an insight into the daily grind of this consistent indie rapper. There’s an 80’s funk rock edge to the track but North Carolina’s Mak keeps it hip hop for the Rock Royal Armani Films shot video, with an intense close up shot documenting his individual hustle amidst footage of his team working hard to put out new material. Quick camera cuts match the speed of Mak’s intellectual flow as his Scottish colleague Bunty Beats sees his sounds visualised.
“I’m just here to leave my mark on the world’s history, but I don’t got a twang and I don’t listen to country, spit bars on beats, this is courtesy of Bunty, can’t jump me”
His allegiance to rap’s golden era of the 90’s is also clear to see as he rocks a Run DMC tee and hosts some Tupac artwork. Mak will hope his fans, “The Choxen Ones”, enjoy the new look into his world as he continues on a journey to expand his musical, and now visual horizons.
