The constant flow of talent pouring out of the UK looks set to continue well into 2014, as three months into the year, another face has emerged on our radars, Isaac Danquah. The young Londoner, who released his Eclectic Perspective EP last year, is back with his first release of this year "Brooding", taken from his untitled forthcoming project.
Backed by a laid back, sample driven beat produced by The Last Skeptik, which features some distortion touched guitars as well as a crackly piano riff, on top of some bangin' drums, Isaac creates a track that walks the line between soulful hooks and heavy hitting lyrical prowess. Fellow Londoner and spoken word extraordinaire Kojey Radical is on hand to make his singing debut, with a soul-driven hook that completes the track nicely. Lyrically, Isaac takes us on a trip through his life, with the nostalgic lyrics being the major force behind this song.
Isaac has already performed at festivals such as Bestival and the Hackney Weekend, and looks well set on becoming another breakthrough artist to come from the UK. You can stream "Brooding" below, and be sure to check out his first project Eclectic Perspective, over on his Soundcloud.
