Mastermind may not be with us until March 4th but the 14th track on Rick Ross’ upcoming album just surfaced and is making waves around the web. “Sanctified” is streaming now on iTunes and features two of the Teflon Don’s go-to guys, G.O.O.D Music’s Big Sean and Kanye West. Yeezy helped produce the crisp beat and Big Sean takes hook duty for the immediately contagious track which is monopolising the attention surrounding Mastermind thus far. A dramatic gospel intro and Big Sean’s confessions of a rapper moves into the light of Kanye’s heavy verse which takes us all to church and gives us vintage ego bursts such as “N****s be loving the old ‘Ye, they saying that new ‘Ye that n****be spazzin’” and “God sent me a message, said I’m too aggressive. Really? Me? Too aggressive?!” The Mastermind himself is as solid as ever with his input, as he flexes over the titanic production for which Travis Scott, DJ Mustard and Mike Dean were also brought in.
Rick Ross is set to keep the high profile collaborations coming in the build to Mastermind, revealing a sneak peak of his new video with Diddy and French Montana. Genuine audio of the 911 call detailing an incident in 2003 where Ross’ Rolls Royce was shot at in Florida is spliced into the “Nobody” teaser. Biggie’s “You’re Nobody (‘Til Somebody Kills You)” has also been sampled for the track. Check out the video below.
