ABGOHARD: an enigmatic, sexual conquer who doubles as an experimental emcee with a penchant for cloud raps and fine women. Whereas last year's Zubat, with all of its boom-bap and trap goodness, made young and old heads pay attention to the off the wall rapper, YUNGPURPLEDICK–probably the best name for an album since Ice Cube's AmeriKKKa's Most Wanted–features fifteen blazing tracks that reveal AB's love for atmospheric beats. But when the first line's of your album include raunchy and direct lines, it's tough to hide your intentions. Though tracks like "So Wet" and "She Say, She Say" are explicit in their subject matter, the New York rapper tackles the subjects in a hilarious manner with it's addictive hooks and chilled out instrumentals.
YUNGPURPLEDICK is certainly not for everyone, but that's the entire point. If you've been sleeping on making a playlist for Valentine's Day (no, you can't get away with playing that Weeknd CD again; she knows what's up,) give this one a play though. For a free download, you've got nothing to lose.
