Vancouver Sleep Clinic has been one to watch as he finishes up his debut EP. What started as a bedroom project for Australian teenager Tim Bettinson, Vancouver Sleep Clinic grew to tour with electronic trio London Grammar and had “Collapse” named as a “Next Hype” track by BBC Radio 1’s Zane Lowe. His atmospheric, falsetto vocals are so delicate and somber that Bettinson has rightfully been described as an electronic Bon Iver.
Teaming up with fellow Australian, GXNXVS, the two take a stab at covering Drake’s track “Hold On We’re Going Home.” The result is a beautiful electronic R&B interpretation with VSC’s signature haunting vocals over GXNXVS’s layered beats and emotive bass. This isn’t the first Drake cover that GXNXVS has produced. He recently released his own debut, the Lately EP, which features a remix of Drake’s “Too Much” featuring Sampha. Vancouver Sleep Clinic has yet to announce his debut, but look for that soon!
