The master of last year’s ‘Mak Attack Mondays’, Chox-Mak, is back with a hot new remix titled “Mak Matics”. North Carolina’s pioneer of the “90’s Flow” movement previously remixed Kanye West’s “Bound 2” to great effect, as he took the old skool vibes of the nostalgic sample and laid down some classic verses onto an already infectious beat. This time Mak is back with his version of A$AP Nast’s latest release “Trillmatic”, which originally featured the legendary Method Man. The Wu-Tang flavour that courses through the veins of Nast’s banger inspired Mak to have a go at taking the track to a new level of raw, and he’s succeeded as his flow hits the ear like it’s blasting from a shoulder-sat boombox.
“The number one draft pick go throw your list down, they chose me I’m high see how I get down, I like it raw I don’t even need a mix now”
The remixed instrumental comes courtesy of Ty Beats, who boasts previous collaborations with Schoolboy Q and features on the increasingly versatile list of producers to work with Mak and DJ YRS Jerzy. Keep your eyes on EARMILK for more from this talented lyricist in the near future.
