Bumen System gives G-House new meaning with exclusive mix

G-House, or Gangsta House, is the latest transition in the four-to-the-floor music spectrum. The sound incorporates the heavy rolling basslines of deep house with the swing and flow of hip-hop. If you like tech house, jackin' house, bootytech, or anything that gets that booty popping, G-house will be your new favorite style. Artists and labels like Amine Edge x CUFF, Maalik, and Dirtybird Records are currently leading the very-underground movement into the future. Recently added to that list is Baltimore producer, Bumen System. After we heard his remix for DJ Class's remix album of "Tear Da Club Up" from T&A Records, we knew he was on to something. The next logical step? Ask for more!

To promote the deep house and G-house sounds, Bumen was gracious enough to put together a mix of his latest works for us, titled "Live From Diddy's Yacht". It includes a bunch of his own reworks, a few originals, and some artists to keep your eye on. In particular, Tchami's remix of Mercer's "Turn It Up" and MK's vocal edit of Storm Queen's "Look Right Through" really epitomize where a large portion of the creativity in the sound design of G-House currently resides. The grooving funk vocals of MK's edit, and the bouncing foreground keys of Tchami's remix drive home the message of originality. If we can suggest one unreleased track from the mix, it would have to be Dangerous Dan & Nicky Night Time's upcoming track "California". The toms in the breakdown epitomize the G-house sound, and the use of 2Pac's vocoded lines is rather impressive.

Along with the mix, Bumen System has provided a few of his originals and remixes for free download. Grab 'em, rinse 'em, and get those heads bobbing.
