Brighton based Dj and producer Dominic Ashton, who goes by Aashton when producing, has had quite the CV over the past couple of years. As the former lead singer of the band Kinema and one-half of House duo Aashton & Swift, he has been getting his hands all over the music scene across the pond. Now after an amicable parting of the ways with Swift, the UK producer is riding solo.
Aashton first hit the scene with his groovy remix for Australian band Clubfeet and the free to download introductory ‘EP1’. Now he returns with a new remix entitled “Craig” capturing the spirit of the early 2000’s, and you guessed it, a remix for British singer Craig David. Taking his lead single “Fill Me In”, Aashton turns the bedroom hit into a groovy modern version that will have your toes tapping and feet moving.
With remixes for the likes of Italian producers Ajello and original EPs on Loungin’ Recordings, Body Work and Delayed Audio all set for release over the next few months expect to hear a lot more from Aashton in 2014.
