Preditah – "Squares"

UK garage music has gone through somewhat of a revival in recent years, especially when it comes to the more mainstream tracks, and artists such as EARMILK favourites Disclosure and Alunageorge have added garage elements to their music, which has had amazing success. Sure enough though, it doesn't quite evoke memories of the UKG heydays of the late nineties and early noughties, when artists such as Artful Dodger, DJ Luck & MC Neat and Craig David ruled the airwaves and the underground scene grew bigger and bigger.

UK born producer Preditah is one of the nation's most diverse producers, as anyone who follows the UK scene will know. Having started out making waves in grime music, working with the likes of JME and P Money, the young Englishman has found himself having his fingers in lots of different pies, whilst managing to be consistently good in every single genre he decides to produce in. Recently, the producing whizz kid has put out tracks that have those 'up in the rave' house vibes, as well as making some dope remixes for the likes of Danny Brown and Disclosure, this week however he's started 2014 off on a garage tip, with his new track "Squares". Billed as a follow up to his Circles EP (well, kind of, he doesn't really know why he's called it Squares), this bass driven piece of garage sounds like it could be in a Super Mario on acid video game, with glitchy beeps and boops throughout, as well as deep kicks and crunchy snares that make up a part of the driving beat.

You can stream "Squares" above, and I've also included his garage'd up remix of Disclosure's "Stimulation" below, which is taken from their amazing debut album Settle which you can purchase on iTunes. Be sure to keep your ears and eyes locked onto EARMILK for the latest music from Preditah!
