Dutch design is minimalist, innovative, and experimental – an aesthetic that runs true from typography to techno. Born in Portugal and Netherlands bred, Nuno Dos Santos’ productions walk the wire between deep house and melodic techno. His sound broods an intrinsic sense of emotion that never fails to space and erase introverted hours at his Trouw residency in Amsterdam.
The remix “Seek Till You Find” for Australian producer JML emanates with Nuno’s signature melancholic euphoria. Beginning with a minimal bass line and synth stabs, it laconically morphs like a shadow in the changing sun. Hi-hat claps, whispered moans, and needle drawn whirls coalesce in a series of veils, when by mid track a radiant crescendo emerges and overtakes, only to encounter a series of eerily discordant chord peaks. Just as the track evolved, so does it end, stripped, whittled, and evaporated down to its bare bass bones. This remix, along with original, drops January 21 on Flow Vinyl.
