Cardiff-based duo Bodhi are often placed amongst the leading names when it comes to the prodigies of UK garage and house, even with only a handful of releases under their belts. With their latest release signed to Future Classic, they join names like Flume, Wave Racer, and Touch Sensitive as the taste makers of the Australian label. This is Bodhi's first EP, and it comes in the back half of a year where they've built a name through groovy remixes as well as support for fellow futurists Bondax.
The leadoff track "Imperfection" features an infectiously smooth bassline, with vocal chops and short samples carefully laced over top. It's a sexy and uplifting, but still bouncy enough to rock the dancefloor. The B side of "No More" takes a more serious vibe, with a sped up garage-style beat and soulful vocals to keep feet moving late into the after party.

The two-track offering also gets three more remixes to complete the release. Charles Murdoch takes "No More" a few channels deeper, with a banging synth line that drops in after a more minimal breakdown. Both remixes of "Imperfection" pull the track down a few tempo notches, and while James Welsh's acid house vibes are not to be overlooked, the Vestalus remix is the standout of the pack, with progressive harmonies and a thumping bass providing a perfect sunrise soundtrack.
