With the release of Innanetape coming on September 30th, Vic Mensa looks to build the hype with another dope song entitled “Lovely Day”, which includes some stellar visuals with the illRoots. With the success of his friend and fellow Chi-town emcee Chance The Rapper, and two successful videos in “Hollywood LA” and “Orange Soda,” it seems to be Mensa’s time to step on the scene.
You can’t press play on this track and not instantly feel good for this Save Money rapper’s music. “Oh what a lovely day, Oh what a lovely day.” The catchy chorus has you dancing your way through the day like it was mid summer. Beautiful women, beachfronts, pool basketball, and what looks like an old school Jeep just add to the positive vibes you get from the song. “The sun is shining, night is calling. I think I’m falling (Falling for you).” It’s Vic Mensa’s time to make noise.
