With their SoLow EP right around the corner and a stacked touring schedule to boot, the Keys N Krates fellas continue to forge full speed into the upcoming season. Just last week they dropped their thumping remix of Alex Metric & Jacques Lu Cont’s “Safe With You”, which didn’t take much time to catch the #1 spot on the HypeM charts. Now they are back again with a sinister remix for Steve Aoki, Chris Lake & Tujamo's chart topping single “Boneless”. Adding their signature mounds of thunderous bass and incisive rhythms, the KNK guys deliver a remix worthy of some serious speaker bumping. Let the guys break it down for you.
"When we heard Aoki and Chris Lake's "Boneless", we could tell it was a powerful big room track, but really far away from what we tend to make. One of the elements that stuck out to us was that "low-pitched" sample that says "Just Freak it", so we took that and kind of built our own track around it that's very hip-hop club style. The first half of the track we were really trying to make that lead (yup) vocal and the low ass 808 speak loudly and control the vibe of the tune. The second half, we built on top of those elements with really big, but hypnotic synths. We wanted this track to be able to be played in any massive room, but yet be hypnotic and vibey. We play this song live all the time and it's one of the biggest tunes in our set right now."
Turn up the volume and be on the lookout for the SoLow EP dropping next Tuesday via Dim Mak.
