On September 30th the Norwegian indie-electronic duo Lemâitre will release the highly anticipated EP Relativity By Nite. Their self-description as "discodudes" should give you a pretty good idea of what to expect, as the group is known for their raging disco-inspired french house beats, mixed with soft synths and gripping melodies. Inspired by a number of electo artist such as Justice, Daft Punk, Deadmau5, Noisia, Ratatat and fellow compatriots Röyksopp, their new EP (which I was fortunate enough to hear in its entirety) is indeed a tour-de-force of edgy disco-inspired electro beats that are sure to make you dance.
In preparation of their upcoming release, Lemâitre has made the first single from the EP, "Sceptics" available for download on the group's Facebook page. Beginning with a hard electro sound, the song subtly shifts into an impressive vocal melody during its breakdown, before its masterful return to the electro-house dance portion of the song. An excellent track that certainly bodes well for the duo's futures releases. You can check it the track below, and make sure you grab the Relatively By Nite EP on September 30th.
