The Soundmen are no strangers to this part of town. Known for their beachy feel-good remixes, they are slowly but surely gathering a following and grabbing attention from multiple media outlets. However, the tables have turned for this remix machine, as Bengfang, a Chicago based producer, remixed one of The Soundmen's latest original tunes, "With You". This particular tune features the lovely vocals of Rai Knight, which is backed up by banging percussion. "With You" definitely shows off that the duo are capable of whipping up a good original though their specialty is with remixing. Bengfang's remix of this song flips the style in a near 180 fashion. He removes the edgy percussion and weaves in smooth and minimalistic drums coupled with ambient effects. Compared side by side, you can definitely tell where the remix takes root. Bengfang disguises the original's surface with his own twists and turns, though the base foundation of the original is strongly present.
