Illangelo – "Crash Landing"

Louis Brodinski and Manu Barron are ready to take Bromance Records to the next level by extending it to the worldwide stage and they are doing it big by setting up a branch in the US and pairing up with OWSLA.

They had already began this venture long before their announcement earlier this week by working with North American artists like EARMILK loved Louisahhh!!!, Kaytranada and Suicideyear, but now they have gotten Illangelo, the mysterious man behind the style and sound of The Weeknd, to bring out a new album as the next project to be released under their ever-growing label.

The track released in preparation of all of this, titled "Crash Landing," follows a committee hearing, and the album in its entirety is apparently influenced by John Milton's epic poem, Paradise Lost, a fact creative figures on both literary and musical ends can appreciate. The events of the hearing are all transcribed on the Soundcloud link to the song, which can be found here. Bromance has long chosen to work with art and artists that hold deeper meanings, associating with acts over at Zone Records, as well as  having quite an eclectic group themselves. Illangelo can most certainly be added to the list now as well, and it will be exciting to see how the next few months will be for everyone involved.

If "Crash Landing" is any indication, Bromance Records is certainly ready to make an even bigger impact in the music scene, and Illangelo is most definitely ready to become a household name (at least in musically inclined homes). The album is titled History of Man, and will be released on August 20th. Apparently there are going to be tour dates in the US in light of their recent news and release, but no official dates have been released quite yet. Some Bromance Records associates, Brodinski and Gesaffelstein in particular, do have sets scheduled for Electric Zoo and Hard Summer, and those will be a must-watch for those lucky enough to visit these festivals in New York and LA respectively.
