Now that the summertime is here, new music is essential to create our very own summer soundtrack. So Airline Jay has dropped his highly anticipated EP Welcome To The Loft just in time for you to bump this in the sun. The New York native, who's previously been featured on Earmilk with tracks like "Let Her Go", has put 5 tracks onto this project including his highly popular song "No Option", which has amassed a lot of plays on his Soundcloud. On the production side of Welcome To The Loft, credits are given to Dviousminds, Woodro Skillson, el-R and Chase-N-Cashe who all provide this project with a lot of firepower with the beats they've conjured up. Airline Jay spits so freely and easily across every track on this EP and props should also be given to Nyko, who gives the only guest verse on the whole project, showcasing his own rapping talents to their fullest.
Welcome To The Loft is definitely a hot summer release, and although it's only short in length, there is still a lot of material here to make people sit up and take notice of Airline Jay's talents. My personal highlight is the track "Decisions", everything from the dark sinister beat, to the venom with which Jay spits over it just makes this track stand out.
