Keeping in line with Random Access Memories' leak, this post will take it back a notch and explore the smoother, dulcet tones of deep house. Pleasurekraft, the Swedish duo of Kalle and Kaveh who spend most of their time touring around Europe, always grab my attention with their uniquely distorted vocals and signature bouncy basslines. “Carny”, as everyone should know, is simply a tech house masterpiece. Taking Cajmere (aka Green Velvet) and Sonny Fodera’s “You’re The One”, Pleasurekraft molds a sensual remix, playing up these pulses of otherworldly choral voices and bringing some funk with a subdued, but still twangy, guitar line. When you want some easy listening, maybe to set the mood (ahem), you can add this one to your new Daft Punk playlist.
