Phuture Shock Musik is dropping another gem into the rough, this time in the form of Nubian Mindz, a production veteran with releases on the mantles of renowned labels like Delsin and Rush Hour.
After a brief hiatus, he's back in 2013 with a release on Disko404 and the newest on Phuture Shock Musik, the TV Watches You EP. It's a nice and neat London-flavoured package of low-slung four to the floor that manages to cover broken beat, analogue acid/house, raw-turned-refined techno and UK funky in one fell swoop — a hint of what may come for the Nubian Mindz moniker. To entice you further we have an exclusive track that is just as eclectic and just as mean as the rest, a snarling mess of grimy squelches over skittering drums and unsettling samples.
