Today's delivery is brought to you by Uncut Diamond. This particular producer has already made an appearance in this part of town, but it's a necessity to have him re-emerge due to his creativeness in beat-making. Uncut Diamond makes his moves in Reisbach, Germany, though his reach is global. There are two types of beatsmiths. One type stays within a realm of a particular music genre and may or may not take influence from other styles. The other is the type who wanders all across the spectrum with no particular boundary that he or she is married to. Uncut Diamond is the latter. That is one of the biggest aspects about this talented producer that keeps me drawn into his tracks, and keeps me guessing, "What the hell is he going to do next?!"
I gave myself a time-out from his frequent track-churning and have recently came back to his work to see what has happened. Apparently a lot. Last time, I was given the impression that he was on a lo-fi, sampling spree. Now, he's in a completely different direction(s). His latest tune, "Dream Big" represents his current mind-set. It's a track that is light-hearted. Silky piano loops are backed up by a classic trip-hop beat, along with occasional piano sweeps. Overall, it's a pretty simple song, though its chill power is overwhelming. As a bonus, (just because we love you), we've thrown in two more of his tracks, titled "War dieser Beat ein Cookie, war's ein verdammt guter Cookie" and "In My Mind" for all of your mellow needs.
