You guys alive out there? I assume that you had a hangover from that smasher of a New Year's party, popping champagne and throwin' back high-end cold ones. The last thing you need is to jump back into your stressful routine of office work with that annoying boss of yours. Don't worry, ChromadaData got you covered, in a sense.
ChromadaData (Ian Jones) is a beatstrumentalist from Kansas City, Missouri who produces tracks ranging from trip-hop to retro-groove. His latest piece was dropped recently, which is called "Kalimba". It's a classy downtempo and trip-hop styled type of lacing that will turn the relax-switch on in your brain. The groove-loop is not groundbreaking or boundary-pushing. He reels things back to the basics by providing edgy snare and kicking bass coupled with minimal electronic effects simmering in somewhere between the background and foreground. Time and time again, I find myself going through phases of ChromadaData's ever-evolving music. But there are times where I just want the basics to kick back and recline, which he delivers with "Kalimba". So if fast-paced and loud music is playing with your head-throb, this particular track is the icepack for the mind.
