With “Wow” sitting at number six on the Beatport top electro house chart, Belgian’s Yves V could have spared some time before dropping yet another banger on the world. Yet here we are, listening to a true stomper – his brand new collaboration with Dani L Mebius, “Chained”. The two producers (Mebius lists his hometown as Seoul, South Korea, though he currently hails from the Netherlands) lay down the law, starting with a rock-inspired synth run that quickly receives support from a refreshing violin line. You won’t have to wait long for the crashing drop, which, on the second time around, layers over this staggered ascending synth progression. It’s a masterful track from an expected source and a new accomplice.
