Ifan Dafydd first made a name for himself last year on his YouTube channel where he shocked the bass community with his finely tuned and familiar sounding tracks. He was favorably and negatively compared to James Blake; rumored to be a moniker of James Blake by some and a copycat by others. After all the debate toned down as his first official release, No Good / Miranda, hit online stores. Ifan Dafydd received outstanding reviews from virtually every place you could look, the controversy didn't seem to matter anymore. In the wake of his debut, Ifan Dafydd has since released various remixes, and now has released his second two-track EP entitled Treehouse / To Me on London based label Push and Run.

"Treehouse" and "To Me" exemplify the more cohesive and easier to swallow production that Ifan Dafydd is capable of. The warm and smooth basslines compliment the sharp hits of notes and vocals alike, providing soothing substance beneath the excitement of the contrasting sounds and intricate percussion. Following his first EP on Push and Run and his various remixes, Treehouse / To Me looks to be another trophy to add to the case of a promising up and coming producer in the bass scene. Vinyl has already been release as 45 rpm 12" on all the usual outlets, with digital to be released any day now.
