Chill…
Today's delivery is brought to you by Michael Kiwanuka. Now, artists like Aloe Blacc and Cee-Lo have been doing an amazing job of keeping the original soul sound, of the 70's, alive and thriving. And I never imagined that I'd stumble across another artist that was able to exhibit the same level of soulful-ness as it seems as though it's pretty rare nowadays. Enter Michael Kiwanuka. This Londa born, Ugandan roots singer has burst on the scene proving that there is still young talent out there capable of doing great things in the soul realm. That sound will remain for ages to come just like the trials and tribulations that fules it. Michael Kiwanuka has been compared to artists such as Bill Withers but I'd go as to say he also reminds me of Richie Havens who was the opening act for the original Woodstuck. Really Michael incorporates a lot of different artists of the past but in a way that is all his own. The song I'm bringing to you today is called "Tell Me a Tell" which comes from his EP of the same name. You just dont expect such a voice to come out of someone so young. Check out the track and chill…
