Old-school Bristol bass purveyor Redlight (an alternative alias for the more dubstep-oriented works of drum-and-bass producer Clipz) will be releasing a new single, "Get Out My Head", on Chase & Status's label, MTA Records, on January 23. You might know him from his single "What You Talking About" feat. Ms. Dynamite, which elicited tons of sampling in a lot of popular mixtapes. The previews and radio rips floating around of the original track were enough to build some anticipation for the release, but toss in a heavy Joker remix and I'm automatically sold on this one.
Both tracks below courtesy of Annie Mac's BBC Radio 1 show. The remix lays Joker's signature heavy, spacey style on top of Redlight's original, bringing together two distinctive Bristol flavors in a way that just works without losing track of either's individual merits.
