YAWN – Open Season [Album + Tour]

The four handsome young men pictured above are YAWN.  They are a band from Chicago and thankfully, their music is nothing like their bitter winters, nor does it make you yawn. Instead, think of an electronically intensified version of The Morning Benders. With solid fundamentals of an indie rock band, these guys amp it with a layer of Yeasayer and spice it with The Unicorns.

YAWN's album, Open Season, is a total catch. It's hard for me to pick a favorite since each track is endlessly refreshing with a distinctive tribal swing. Here are a few samples.
